Balayage Hair Color

Balayage is a French word meaning “to sweep”.

This hair color technique is a method of “sweeping” color on the hair using a paddle. The color process creates a customized highlight pattern that perfectly suits your hair. Balayage creates a gradual lightening effect and eliminates any line of demarcation. Your professional hair stylist colors strands of hair more precisely than with traditional foil techniques.

At the base the color is applied very lightly, while at the tip, the color is applied very heavy. The result is a highlight which looks naturally sunbleached. As it grows out the root will be concealed for the first two months by the thinner color applied to the base of the hair.

Balayage can be subtle or intense, depending on the desire of the client.

This technique works great on blonde, brunette or red hair and can cover a few gray strands easier than all the hair.
